Hmm wah so it took Amazon 10 days just to process yr order and start shipping to Tenso? Delivery from Tenso warehse to Sg takes 1 day?



The seller is direct from Amazon.jp. I have only received the initial order receipt from amazon.jp and no further emails. They didn't notify me rgd any CC problems leh. :dunno:

Way cheaper than Singapore but hk I am not sure of the prices there.

But need to factor in other considerations as there is no warranty and if need repair need to pay full price

Panny doesn't have real ww warranty. If you buy from JP or Hk, no warranty here

Oly has real ww warranty. No issues if you buy from JP or anywhere else

No International warranty for Panasonic. Olympus yes.
Cheaper or not depends on the lens model. Certain items are cheaper, but not all.

I checked the status at 7.30 am today, and the update as at 1.00 am was that it cleared customs.
Next update at 9.30 am says "With delivery courier"

Call them asking for an estimated time for delivery and was told that it is from 9.00 am to 6 pm. Told them to deliver tomorrow. :angry:

Any forwarders in Japan who use DHL / UPS / Fedex? Sick of dealing with Singpost.

FWIW, I've had similar experience with other courier companies too... TNT, UPS, DHL.

Status: "Out for delivery".
Take leave, wait at home.
End of the day: "Back at warehouse". ;(

The one I heard about before tenso is White Rabbit Express - Buying service for Japanese products. But it looks like they use Japan Post too. Seems like a more customized/premium service. May be able to request for them to use your preferred courier as long as you're willing to pay more for it.

Optically, let's start with the bad news: distortion is a clear issue, surprisingly even with JPEGs where the camera is correcting the linear distortion. At 12mm there is tangible barrel distortion (above 1% in JPEGs, above 5% in raw files), and at 35mm there is modest barrel distortion (about 2/3rds of a percent in both JPEGs and raw files). This is not a lens that you want to be using for architectural work.

When you ship by Tenso, you can request them to ship via UPS.
I did that the last time. It was super fast and problem-free. Of course, you will need to pay more for that.
