Cheer up 1205 is not a bad price. I got mine more than that but it has 5 years warranty with to and from postage shouldered by them.

I think it depends on the exchange rate you use?

If you look at the website, it's HKD$7,131.61, and if you switch that to SGD it's SGD$1205.24.
However if you check with xe.com, the rate there is SGD$1,124.28.

So if you pay in HKD, THEORETICALLY you can get it at SGD$1,124.28. But then you have to factor in the credit card/Paypal exchange rate, which from my experience is more expensive.
Just my guess.

bro, U're right. Hence the best way to maximize your savings is to change to HKD here first then buy w/cash there. Change here, the rate is 6.35HKD - 1SGD. Confirm sure win.

Hmmm?? Seems like they have increased the price. I bought the lens at about 7k+ HKD, can't Remember the exact price. They gave me a discount as I paid direct bank transfer and I bought 2 lens so they gave me free express shipping

I searched this lens over the web and found that it mostly is pictured in BLACK but the lens I got is somewhat deep purple from the base.

It is deep purple or rather gunmetal

The shot above by darkbladez is not black if you compare to the body.

The review by wong_se shows that as well it's deep purple, look at post #10, side by side with 14-42mm lens.

Congrats u'll love the lens. And 1072 seriously a good price ; think if willing to wait a month or two we will starts seeing <1000 prices popping up.

Got mine at 1176 from HKG last month and feelings of hooting a good deal already evaporating fast haha. Is Pana still selling this for ~$16xx plus ?

The 12-35 f2.8 is really a quality lens. If f2 isn't a must for u ; can consider this lens since with it comes a wider range to 70mm (35mm equi)

Price wise I'm not sure how much is the 12mm now, if the pricing's close ; I'd take the 12-35.

I sold my 12 f2 after getting the 12-35 f2.8. The flexibility of having the focal range outweighs the sharpness of the 12 f2 and slight weight panelty (for me).
