sup ortega, hope all is well.
i think what people are trying to say is that when you guys want to throw or use rules on us like this:
3. Off-Topic (OT) posts - Please direct all posts not related to Photography to the Kopitiam forum. OT posts will be deleted or moved without noticed if posted in any other forums.
NOTE: Although Kopitiam is meant as a catch-all area for things not related to photography, posts/threads which are:
religious,
political,
racist;
in nature or can be construed as such will also be stamped out, abolished and demolished without prejudice.
then let an obama topic which is clearly political go on for pages, you guys send a message of inconsistency to users and a message of rules do not apply or only apply to some. and when people are banned with a "they should have known" attitude, look at all the senior members who are chiming in on a political thread. if it was a lee kuan yew opposing message i think everyone here would be willing to bet it would have been axed and ts warned or kicked out way at the beginning. now whether it is about obama or lee, it is still political in nature. i used this as an example of how things have been handled or not been handled. i got banned, i am happyshot, still smiling, but i am speaking out for others who are questioning mods more and more in their actions, nonactions. i'm not out for revenge, but i am always out for fairness.
i think your members just want to know why, and more importantly, if you guys kick out one guy because he broke the rules, and don't kick out another for breaking rules, then there is an argument of prejudiced or discrimination. which rules are valid, which are not, howcome one guy gets banned and another doesn't? i know they are ugly words, and i don't like those words myself, and it's not like any police report will be filed nor is this a threat, no one wants that. but this is what happens when you post rules, and mods themselves do not go by the rules they posted, nor the procedures they posted. again, this is something you guys need to collectively look at. now, i don't know what happened with LJ, but i do know there is an obama thread and rules that say no political threads which i pasted above from your link. undeniably, rules are being broken that mods are continuing to let go on. this now goes back to what i told cheesecake, mods or people running the show need to take a look not only at us, but yourselves also. nothing personal, and no ill feelings whatsoever towards you, just saying to mods take a step back and take a honest look as all good managers do.
and in no sarcastic way,
as always, keep smiling

have a great and prosperous year.
