Did some googling as I never heard or tried the "taco" method before. But still, I think I will give it a miss as a tray or paper tank uses lesser chemical which means faster heating or cooling down of chemical.

One problem I face with too little chemical is the temperature swing in the chemical as the heat capacity of the liquid is low. Even though we can start a few degrees lower and end up with a few degrees higher at the end of the development, i find that it is not always reliable as it depends on the time of the day I develop. Development curve is also not linear which gives me a hunch that that too much swing is no good, although I never really did a controlled experiment to prove it. I have swings up to +-4C when I develop in a hot afternoon. Have a bit more chemical can help to tame the temperature swing during development imo.

So far, no issue with temperature swing. If the concern about it is so high, I suggest getting a processor instead.

Peter,
if I am getting a 45 or 617, I will most likely be using a 120mm film back with it. A horseman 6x12 or DaYi 6x17 roll film back will be nice.
I am not going to process my own pics for sure ( unless B&W ).
still looking forward to go shoot with you :)

Hi guys, why not we have another outing. The outing should be LF shooting plus developing?
For those who has the camera, can contribute cam. But those without, maybe can contribute film?
Kinda win win, and all happy.

My suggestion is to shoot sun rise at Lower Pierce.

Alternative is indian temple night shoot.

We can gather and develop together. At the end of the day, everyone has a LF print.
For those who are about to commit can also have a feel, if don't mind.
Any suggestions please?

I don't think I will be attending the outing, but for developing, you all only need someone with a car to help ferry the below.

The developing tank.
A small burner for boiling water if need to be higher temperature (I got a mini gas bunsen burner for some reason ;p).
Some Ice can get from 7-11 to chill water if needed to be lower temperature.
A thermometer which can act as a stirrer as well.
A measuring cylinder, a small pail and a funnel.
The chemical before mixing.
Some container if you are planning to reuse them.

Also someone with a phone timer or watch.

You can use the public toilet like the CC one and store the pail of water. The rest can be done anywhere with a table like those under the void deck.

My Humble contributions from the Tiong Baru outing

Nice camera. Anyway I did a simple googling about the topic I mentioned to you over the phone (http://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?t=32769). Just beware cause old Rodenstock Lens has a high chance of it happening. (I have a Rodenstock N and is still working well) Second worst in the title is Schneider Super-Alugon 65mm as servicing the issue for this is a nightmare for most repairman.(If not wrong approximate 200+ shipment oversea, the Schneider 65mm cost even more) Most 65mm are having quite small IC and as such, getting one that covers 4*5 below $500 must be very careful especially aged lens.
