Haha...

I have been using the lens for a few days and gosh....its really a great buy. KM should have given this lens a G rating......sharp...even at widest!!!!!! Too sharp?....

Fast, and great handling.

rgds,
sulhan

someone selling 2H for 200. :p

To make it a G lense, they would have give it a metal body, add 2 aperture blades, add a focus hold button, put a gold ring around it and jack up the price by 3 folds. Then would you buy it?

The 50 f/1.4 is sharp and versatile. Bokeh wise, it's not the best around. It's the lense to get if you need a good low light solution but can't afford G lenses.

its just 1 of the things which makes u go GEEEE.... i am still going Geeee for the 70-200... when can i ever afford 1...

sell backside and go on a six month grass diet. sure can afford 1 by then :bsmilie:

Oh gosh... what have I missed!!! Have been busy and seldom log in to this site... and now realised that I had missed one great opportunity to own a Great lense (for my std.) of 50mm at such a low price!!!! Heard my bro said it is really a great lense...

Drukh, who is the one selling at SD$200?

Btw, one std. question, what is/are the difference(s) between the old 49mm thread and this new piece of 50mm 1.4 huh? Any diff. in terms of the apperture blades?

Cheers...

Hi Sulhan,

50mm f1.4 - 55mm Threads = Circular
50mm f1.4 - 49mm Threads = non-Circular

Is above statement correct?
