While you guys are shooting....i was in KFC feeding my lil girl...:bsmilie: :bsmilie:
and took shelter for 30mins under the bamboo trees to watch the chimp...
Most of those who poast...have nice pics...however, looks like quite a few could have been sharper with
use of support like tripod or monopod.....

was already quite disappointed with my pix. and now after seeing everyone's great pictures, i feel even sadder. at first didn't feel like posting any pictures at all, but should be sporting lah.

it was a very fruitful trip though, and appreciate don's hard work organizing it. really glad for all the advice i got from all the more experienced shooters.
the pix themselves also taught me a lesson. open up and everything soft, means must go work on handholding technique, or find a big rock to put camera on. or learn from the guru and boost the iso. noisy better than blurrrr...
and last but not least, a great chance to try out different lenses, and get in touch with minolta technolo-G:

Thanx for the kind words Ecclesiasm and Sulhan. still a newbie with lotsa passion and lotsa more to learn... sadly school starts for me today .. hope still got time to shoot

haha.. "love theme" .. that shot was quite a superficial intepretation of the theme.. but nonetheless had the picture in mind when i saw the flamingos and finished it off with some patience, luck and multi-burst.. head position still a bit off imo....haha..oh!...been a long time since i last went to the zoo.. was quite intrigued by the baboons' promiscuity though..

Nice photos from everyone who posted. It may or may not be a fruitful trip to each of you but this outing is defintely a successful one. The group is a little big and hard to communicate with everyone. It doesn't matter if we split up as everyone has their interest and style of shooting. some may want to be with a few guys to learn something or prefer to shoot alone. its all up to individual and doesn't need to stick to a big group.
I hope all of you enjoyed the outing although the weather is not in our favour but it is a challenge to produce the non-sunny photo especially when there's insufficient light to shoot.
Our usual KMOS gathering will resume in March as I'll skip the one in Feb due to CNY. After which, I will try to plan for another photoshoot outing in April or probably in March as well.
I hope all of you enjoyed the outing although the weather is not in our favour but it is a challenge to produce the non-sunny photo especially when there's insufficient light to shoot.

saw some shots in other forum.. focus on just the animal's eyes.. nice... but not on my shots
