First reply out I ask her again about the standard set by their company...

This is my email to Gina
Thanks for replying..

But stil got some question to ask...

- What your company standard for the size of the chicken

- What is your manager or the staff doing when they saw the size of the

chicken but still serve to the customer...did they ever complain to

magement?

- The standard of the chicken taste is also dropping... just look at the

link http://www.clubsnap.org/forums/showthread.php?t=297632.

- As I mention this was the 2nd time I complain to you about the size of the

chicken. You told mi that the standard of the chicken mat your company

requirement.. So why this thing still happen?

- Thank you for your time..

This was what she reply.. I tin she a bit piss off..

Thank you for your valuable feedback.

KFC is a global brand and we take pride in delivering Finger Lickin' Good chicken to our consumers, which we have for 30 good years in Singapore.

To ensure a high level of quality in our food, our suppliers are carefully chosen and monitored and our restaurant crew go through a thorough training programme.

For example, our chicken suppliers are given a stringent weight specification to adhere to strictly and at restaurant level, we have weight specification s for our crew members and chicken pieces out of the weight specification will be rejected.

We have since forwarded your feedback with regards to the size of the chicken pieces to our chicken suppliers in our efforts for continuous improvement.

KFC needs to take responsibilities. If the suppliers are at fault, get the suppliers to answer to the customer since KFC cannot tackle their suppliers....

Yappy & happy

To ensure a high level of quality in our food, our suppliers are carefully chosen and monitored and our restaurant crew go through a thorough training programme.

This is KFC's problem not customers problem..be it u train or dun train ur staff, select or dun select ur chicken;the customer dun give a damn, and when we pay for the meal we should be expecting some standard..and with her quote how she justify that a smaller piece of chicken is still being serve to u..

For example, our chicken suppliers are given a stringent weight specification to adhere to strictly and at restaurant level, we have weight specification s for our crew members and chicken pieces out of the weight specification will be rejected.

Another quote from KFC, implementation of checks..but the current situation is that it did went wrong..what is the cause??

Izzit so hard to make an apology?? She keeps taking ur e-mails as feedback..voice out to her its a complaint..u want a reasonable answer as in wat went wrong? Base on the quote she provided, the small little tiny piece of chicken should not have been serve to u..

I think she didn't even bother to go check on this issue at that particular branch..

Next time CC a copy to the CEO..

The letter makes a lot of sense and probably hasn't changed their policy in all the time they've been in business.

However, if KFC in Singapore has chosen smaller portions (and they're not going to tell you that), then the vendors are all in compliance and all you can do is to protest by not eating there.

Obviously, if the vendors are selling smaller pieces of chicken than in their contract, the vendors would be the first to know that they're not up to standards because it's likely that the company would seek other suppliers.

yeah what to do... as she mention KFC had already been in Singapore for 30 years. Means tat less few of us KFC also wont die... No need to talk to her again.. Ask question no answer...
Next time when came across this 'small chicken issue' just ask their manager to explain why the chicken so small... tat should do it... or DONT GO TO KFC ANYMORE.. save the trouble...:bsmilie:

Writing to a franchisee may not help much unless the letter is carefully worded and sent to the HQ (usa) and then cc local. And, in procurement practices, a smaller than usual meat sizes serve more portions and hence it's a logical profit formular.

Fastfood chains have very strict QC (from local team and regional teams to do spot checks) and any major deviance in quality or sizes or quantity of contracted supplies, the supplier may suffer a major delay in payment (6mths to 3 years) plus an immediate termination of contract due to breach of contract. I dont think any supplier would dare try to be funny with the a global brand.

The PR lady was being very diplomatic and she would not dare to fault anyone. If she did, she may lose her job.

What QC??? Cost at RM7+.....This is M'sia version of KFC that I took on my last trip....free flow of chili sauce some more
