siewsphone, who in Singapore would want to buy from DSC? The price is not any better than what you can get locally, and I would rather support my local agent as they have good and dependable after sales service. Why would anyone support the Malaysian agent when they haven't even been successful to get Pentax to be in most photo shops in their own territory?

it's OOS at slr rev and quite a few places that i've asked..

In a nutshell, you don't care about the packaging as long as it's significantly cheaper and from reliable source, in this case from the agent direct. Cool:thumbsup:

erm, doesn't need to be from agent direct.

if i buy from shop, and check with emjay and they are willing to honour warranty, why not...?

in the past, i bought grey sets. my sigma 10-20 is a grey lens. 4 years later, it works fine still. and i saved i think, $200-$300.

What has happened to your k-x such that you need to replace it urgently? if there is a problem, it is under warranty right? Bring to Emjay . . .

Probably upgrade fever. Very contagious. I got it before also. The sudden urge to upgrade. BTW, if you willing to pay more, can try Lucky Plaza. I saw some pentax Kx and K5 there 2 weeks ago. But be prepared to pay higher or at retail price though.

Yea... just bought the last set K5 from AlanPhoto (Funan) during my lunch hour, person serving me was Dennis.

Now charging the battery.

Just a thought... there's a wide angle lens converter (Emolux 0.7x) available at $109/- (RPP $209) which I didn't get. Did I miss a deal on this? :think:

No you did not. Want to play with wide angle lenses get proper UWA lenses like the 12-24 or the Sigma 10-20

Allanphoto brought in only one set to test the waters. You can place additional orders with them. During Shriro's time, Allanphoto kept a lot of Pentax stock but not with Emjay.
