One thing I'm not used to is that the shutter button doesn't feel like there is a half-press. Is this a characteristic of Pentax?
Forgive me, but I'm a first time DSLR buyer here (using Canon S80 currently, and understands how to use manual settings). May I ask, how viable is the pancake lens (DA40) as a walkabout lens? (How is your experience with it, anyone?).
Another thing, in what situations does an external flash be required? What is the difference in usability of the Pentax 360 and 540 flash?
Just bought K10D body from AP at 11am plus. Bargained down from $1400 to $1320.Finally, I gave in and bought one from AP with the 16-45mm.
I think I may have bought the last new set they have.
The demo is still available.
Heard some guy got the K10D body alone from MS Color for $1240 only! That's even cheaper than the Ds I got a year ago

Er..... how come the free gift for K10D still 1G and the bag?
Are they going to launch christmas promotion for Pentax camera soon?
All this talk of K10D making my heart twitch... ;p
One thing though, was looking at the specs, it seems that K10D don't use 4xAAs like the *ists?

Good to see more competition also.no...jumping ship for me
just feeling happy for pentax users and sad for $ony.....
No, it doesn't. I think giving up the AA size battery could make the camera lighter.
Nope, but the new battery has brought about focussing improvements and the like. It's also Li-ion, so self-discharge is not a problem.
eneloops are SO expensive. :|
