Big time debate on this one. It is said that modern production exotic cars are run-in @ factory but what I've heard is that only the engines are tested & not the gearbox etc. so most of those who are kiasu still do a 1st 1500km run in before hitting red-line. Then, flush the fluids & good to go. I personally don't rev cold engines either & some cars take a long time to warm up (if you trust the meters).
i already had sleepless nights waiting for it to arrive.
now i can have a good night sleep.

and honestly, these cars aint really TP/rov 'friendly'.
Hehee, I can understand how you felt. I used to organise local drives for kakis & @ one time there were 6 GTRs. Biggest turn out was 20+ but we enjoy less than 5 for a hearty drive & better convoy management. Never had problems with TP as we're very careful & stick to unusual timings. Sometimes we go Malaysia for breakfast & back by noon or a short holiday.

sound system sucks.and car is so loud(tyre+xzos), i wonder why they even bothered with a bose system.

the GPS lock is such that if you are not at a race course, you're not entitled to the full capabilities of the Godzilla. it's a sort of satellite based speed limiter. so if you're not within a given coordinate, you travel at x km/hr instead of ∞ km/hr.
Then half why in the race track, thick clouds over cast the area and GPS cannot get the satellite info...... you will sian 1/2 liao....

Wow, way cool! I was @ Genting last month. U can probably clock 800+km two way but please do yourself a favour & de-limit it. Sticker the nose if you're worried about chips.
Btw, if you're going from KL city, there's a new highway before Batu caves that's much smoother & faster to hit the Kuantan exit. Read the signs properly & don't go too fast there.
You can always bring a licensed friend along for it & switch over on the return leg. Btw, is there cruise control? I thought the car's pretty mute?? What rpm have u been driving :devil: was told that gear changes @ 2K on auto. Er, if you're crazy enough, you can always strap on a helmet & gloves :bsmilie:
I've been doing lone trips up N/S for the last 1 yr, almost every week & I'm getting really tired of driving. It's quite safe except a few cases you hear of now & then. Practise the safe code & u should be fine. I always leave early morning & late nights where traffic is light & no cops. Stop @ major points like 209+/- or don't even stop @ all.
Good part on the translation, I hate too much electronics in cars. Old man liao....
One of my friend did a few hundred kms round Singapore on a weekend when his new Evo X arrived then.

Oh your's was a direct domestic model. You should have asked if they had an international export model. The manuals and stuff will be in english. Like the model Tan chong is going to bring in this year september.

at 100km/h, the tyre noise is soooo loud it makes no sense to listen to music at a 'normal' setting.unless...you blast your music.which i wont, cos i want my hearing till 100 years old.:bsmilie:
tan chong is bringing in he gtr via their // import arm.
which means, if you think tan chong will service the car, and has full diagnostic/mechanics to do the GTR, forget it.(last heard, it was like that).
in fact, they had a closed door launch last year...but yet to date have not sold any.
at 330k, though OMV high, but who will buy it when you could easily shave $80k off when you buy from other // importers?:dunno:
