Was there at 11am - no booth babe and no K-7. :(

Babe was there early too but the booth was not setup until later. We were there from 10ish . . .

ok... i've tried the K-7, i have to admit... im very impress with the AF, AFC as well... use it to track the cable ski no problem...quite surprise that just a change in algorithm has so much improvement... there is just no hunting, no 2nd adjustment, it just AF into place 1 time instantly... its fast...very fast i would say...

use to own D200, now S5 and the F100 which has very fast AF... play with the D700...the K-7 isn't far away... :)

too bad its out of my reach... will have to wait for the next big thing... :)

Ok, it is nice to know the AF is fast but is it accurate as well? If it is fast and accurate, then it is really a winner.

that is first piece of really good news ... someone try out its high iso and feedback please?

now that the reason to worry...the S5 and D200 and D700 Af performance is quite far apart
K-7 is closer to which one?
S5[Pro]? to my understand is still not really there on par with the like of D200 and D700

maybe not as good as D700 yet in AFC... AFS very close... maybe slightly slower...
i kinda forget how good D200 AF is, but i have the F100, which is very fast, the K-7 is as fast... and i have to emphasizes again...no hunting, no 2nd AF micro adjustment like the K20D, which will have some micro AF adjustment before lock focus...its just AF 1 time, first time, thats it...sound good ? :)

try it urself... its there at the ski360...

Mr Eow, looking forward to some feedback from you ............. good and bad because I know you are not biased ......... ;)

Will be there tomorrow afternoon.

By MRT/bus, I often choose to take MRT to Bedok, walk a bit around the traffic light crossing to take 31/196/197 on Betok Sth Rd (B01) to Marine Parade Rd (B16); then go around Siglap Lk to go through the underground pedestrian path across ECP, you can see East Coast Lagoon, and all the water activities...

Bus 401 can reach there, too, but often the waiting time kills me. 3 bus aforemetioned yield less waiting time, although takes a bit walking.

Went back again today and finally get to see the booth babe and also Ronald from emjay. Managed to have a feel for the K-7 and am looking forward to owning it in July when it arrives!

Anyway, I took some newbie shots (I usually take landscape) using my Canon 40D: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=529442

Yay! A convert! :)

I handled the K-7 for a while and the shutter sound (or lack of it) was just amazing. Really fits into my shooting style. Didn't explore further lest the poison burrows any deeper. ;p

yeah the shutter flutter was truly amazing, have to hear it to believe it. :O

went down in the afternoon today and met a few pentaxians there.:D

Pity I couldn't make it today. Forgot that my daughter got inline skating class today :( The weather was better than yesterday, hope you guys had fun there :)

Yes, the shutter sound was really amazing... my right brain thinks the camera is too light and feels like a toy camera, but my left brain reminded my right brain the many times during my trips how I wished for a lighter camera! In the end my right brain lost! The menu was also very nice, and it flips according to the orientation of the camera (like my handphone). The guy had to pry the K-7 off my hands.. :sweatsm:

Oh yeah, when I took a few pics with the K-7, I noticed it was over-exposed. Then I realized after checking the menu that someone had set the EV compensation to +3.3 (or +3.7?)! Naughty...
