Good to see another fellow landscape lover as well. :D

Where landscapes are concerned, its a pity Singapore here is too small and there ain't many landscapes here to shoot. :(

Ok, a little of human subjects now. Otherwise I keep posting landscapes all the landscape haters will siam my thread. :bsmilie:

This was taken when I was in Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Used hip firing position arming myself with the Will of The Force for this keeper.

Wah! Shoot from hip position also so nicely framed!! The colour, the motion, the crop all very nice!

Luck plays a part. Especially when the AF mechanism on my KM5D usually runs havoc resulting in OOFs.

But it pays with a lighter camera compared to a bigger camera as I realised that its easier to pan and machinegun fire. :)

wah, hip shot also so good...teach me leh :)

nice babes too :bsmilie:

Erm... I think I shld learn frm u instead. :sweatsm:

My technique is just put to burst mode, turn to the widest focal length of my lens (18mm in this case), move close to the subject, aim in the general direction and machine gun the direction she's moving. Yah, something like dat. Ur camera shldn't have any problem given its high fps.

And after that if its too wide, crop off the top or sides loh.

That's for me. Not sure abt other cowboy shooters if they use the same techniques though. :dunno:

impressive! should try this technique next time!

Do take note that this method will eat up lots of ur shutter count since in such a case there's a 99% failure rate. :)

U can machine gun 100 photos but eventually only 1 useable.

The photo I took, ate away like 5 to 6 shutter counts before I spotted this shot in-between my 5 to 6 bursts.

Crazy but satisfying. :)

:bsmilie: To be honest, this is one of the more decent looking ones.

The others macam like no composition, nothing. :(

One more for the day. :)

the guy's hat reminds me of the old chinese swordsman movies :bsmilie:

Short of the veil in front eh? :bsmilie:

Anyway, dat guy's a monk. Its quite surprising how they do stuff like these overseas without harrassing ppl. They juz stand there motionless and wait for ppl to approach. Whether its a corner or in the centre of the shopping alley district - monk or nun. :)

Here's one for the weekends. :)

wow, ever considered making postcards out of your photos? Amazing stuff.

Erm... actually, no. Haven't got that thought in mind yet. :embrass:

I'm not sure whether its really up to standard comparing against other old bird forumers.

One more for the day. :)
