I bought all my B+Ws for my three Ls from Cathay Photo. The 77mm one for your 24-70 is around $116. No doubt it's a little costly but is really worth every single cent.

Otherwise B+W MRC, I use these and can't really see the effect on the photograph (a good thing)

Any filter break is better than a lens element breaking, regardless of which filters.
