The EVF on the c-2100uz is quite useable in most situations already....used the Fujifilm FinePiox 2800z b4....have difficulty seeing things even under normal indoors lighting...

Ya true man... the 2100 EVF seems better than many others. However, the view is that of the camera's "eye", and the constant exposure adjustments when you look through the viewfinder is an eyestrain man! Our eye has to adjust to this electronic "eye", when the real eye is far better in adjusting to a true optical view... still would rather have a proper pure TTL view with the LCD back panel providing the "CCD version".

Its not a good idea , at day with strong daylight ,you can not see easely the LCD ..
Personly i think that the C 2100 is one easy to work with camera .
If we start talking about our personal likes and dislikes , we will never end talking .

no no no... i'm saying keep the LCD as it is but have a proper optical viewfinder instead of the EVF (which is simply a smaller version of the same LCD screen) Its been done with the older C1400 digicam that I've been using and works excellently. Its precisely the weakness of the LCD screen format that it is unusable in a bright-light environment (Casio 2900 and other digicams with LCD-only framing etc).
The EVF is essentially a lower-power consuming LCD screen with a hood... not a true alternative like a TTL optical viewfinder. Rangefinder/compact formats give you the optical flexibility but suffer from parallax error... which we all know is crucial in macro photography.

just bought the +4 close up filter ($15, Hoyi) at CP. and yes, like what u said, there was only slight improvement. e guy there told me i can actually attach close up filters on top of each other to get +N results. is that true (say put 2 +4's together and u will get +8)?
will there be a limit to how many close up filters i can attach together?
i dun think i can achieve e closeness i want with one +4 filter...
