haaaa......... whatever bro say here..... to really find out true or not.... pay them a visit and will know...... sometime is really "chemistry" thing.... other like it, you may not..... dont like, there are still Thousand and one shop to buy from ... well, good and reputable one not so many..... :devil:........... I get my gear mainly from AP SL..... many will avoid there at all cost... but I find I can get good deal from one of the staff there.... even the shop sell a few dollars higher but provide superb service...... $$$$ well spend and worth spending.... as oppose to the shop sell lower, but face black black, machaim owe them $$ like that, treat you like dirt..... :dunno:

Got a very bad experience with this shop today. Heard many good review and decided to go get one compact flash card for my cam.
Looking for extreme III but was told that now replaced by ultra 30mb/s. Bought it. I make a very big mistake for never check it on the spot!
After reached home and open the box, realised that the plastic casing was actually cut opened before! This is the first time I bought a memory card that has casing tempered. Did I bought a used copy or what!!!
Make things worse tomorrow is holiday and they are not open I got to wait till Saturday to contact them again. I just wrote them an email waiting for their reply... :angry:

[1] I wouldn't buy memory cards from them, there are 1,001 shops in Funan that sells memory cards cheaper and with lesser crowd.
[2] If it is working, I wouldn't worry about it much. Was there pictures inside the folders? SanDisk distributor provides a limited life time warranty so if there is something wrong, you can always get a 1-for-1 replacement
[3] I am sure if you go back to them, they will gladly exchange an unopened one for you.
[4] No need to get upset. Merry Christmas.

Anyway they have replied and admitted that it is their demo card and offered me a replacement. Guess I have to make another trip down for an exchange.

Even so, it causes a great deal of inconvenience to the buyer who has to make a second trip down for a mistake made by the shop.
your card was probably opened for 'demo'... so was my card reader when i went home and discovered that the bottom seal was actually cut opened.. i was looking for A reader and they said it was replaced by B so its my bad for not doing my homework and taking their words for it.
i didn't bother to return anyway because at least now i know who i'm dealing with.

I was there the other day hunting for my s90.. Shop crowded as usual, but as soon as i walked in, this indian lad stopped serving his customer and asked me what i needed. I think that that is good service indeed! Ended up buying elsewhere as they had no stock till next year.

so if your need buy CF card just go sim lim square.
best bargain.

Called for quote at my usual shops today;
MSC - $680, girl was polite and said bye.
TK - $675, guy was matter of fact, I said thanx, he hung up without a word.
CP - $699, both the guys at Marina and Peninsula branches were polite and nice, said bye bye and have a nice day too too.
J316 - $670, said thank you for the enquiry and said bye bye.
So I went to J316.
The wait was long as usual, received assurance and small chat while waiting. The salesmanship got something for many people to learn.

What if J316 is the most expensive of all the quotes @$699? will you still go there to buy? Just wondering how much premium are people willing to pay for better service?
Yes and no.
If a cheaper shop piss me off, cheaper I also wont go. That said, some people had been pissed off by the long waiting time at J316.
My recent LX3 was from John 3:16. I frequent this shop a lot when I was using Nikon gear.
They might be occassionally slightly more expensive, but it beats buying from some Ah Bengs or sales staffs that don't even have eye contact with me when I ask a question.
John 3:16 had always been helpful with any issues I had with the gear.
Another nice place is Gope's marketing. Alan Photo and Cathay Photo are usually my last resort.
