they can order items for you from overseas, usually delivered to their store in a few working days.. :)
nope... will go try.. who's OP?
my only issue is the pricing... CP quoted me like $100++ for it plus must wait for dunno how long...

2filter.com, works out to be about $60+sgd only... can buy 2 loh...

Orient Photo (level 6 sim lim, near lift) - not a carrothead shop unlike most of the camera shops over there.. :)
100+ for 1 filter? :S

not sure who sells locally.. tried a few shops at penisular, don't have :( ...

thinking of ordering here...

Just a suggestion. Maybe if you guys are willing to wait, can consider consolidating a MO and check with either Henessy or eugenep who brings in B+W filters if they're willing to bring the similar threaded filters in? :)

Some photos.
Do note, my photos should NOT be used to form an opinion on exposure, color or sharpness. Cause i mostly MF, and i post process them heavily, usualy 2 -3 diff softwares.
Lens used are 17mm pancake and 40mm f1.4 voigtlander...

So i guess, what you can take out is, i can use this cam like i would with a point and shoot. 90% of the images you see, i can say i won't be able to get with either my ricoh grd1 or sigma dp1. 100% of them i will never get with my d200, cause i'll never take it out of my bag to fool around.

Hey interesting pics! What ISO did you shoot them on and how did you find manual focusing on the Voigtlander 40/1.4, especially under lower light conditions in the restaurant?

Ahh, this is exactly why I want to buy the Pen. PnS size, DSLR abilities. As much as I love using the DSLR, it is heavy man. And LX3 doesn't do the job right.

For use with a voigtlander I would need a M/LTM adapter right? When I went to Chiif's site he had third party M/LTM to 4/3 adapters, and the new Voigtlander M to M4/3 Adapter. Are they essentially the same things?

Edit: I think I get it. The Voigtlander M to M4/3 Adapter has to be used with a M/LTM adapter at the same time?

CV 40mm f1.4 is in M mount, your camera is m43.. so you just need M-m43 adaptor. Some CV comes in LTM mount, so for these you either get the direct LTM to m43 adaptor or use the LTM to M adaptor with your M to m43 adaptor.

i think i was shooting at iso 400-800.. pretty slow shutter, some down to 1/2 a sec if not recalling wrongly.

The voigtlander adapter is same as the oem one, just better made... I got the oem one, was at chiff's place, the first few QC not there, was really really tight to mount the lens, he was really great, as he kept trying out different ones till it was ok...

MF on the voigtlanger is ok.. i think need to get used to viewing on the screen, i never use the mag view to focus, too leychey...

Errr. .... it's not exactly PnS size. Maybe like the size of 2 PnS ba. But ... it's still way sexier than a DSLR :bsmilie:

Hmm can post a couple of straight jpegs from the camera at ISO800 with NR off? Interesting to see production unit samples shot in SG.

Hmm if you can use the screen w/o mag to focus not bad liao, hmm maybe this will be worth buying to adapt my Color-Skopar and Nokton on it! :P Nokton is kinda huge for it though : x

hi, anyone has try newly join the member to get free battery?

been looking at this for awihle..

can anyone comment on the AF speed in two scenarios:

--low light with a f1.4 or below lens
--normal day light with a zoom lens

Im currently using a d300 + 17-55 / 18-200. AF is just about right for me....

also regarding video:

-able to zoom in / out during filming? And if able to zoom, is it a smooth zoom (zoom slowly goes in / out) or is it a stepped zoom (bit by bit jerky steps)? I know some cameras has a bit of a jerky zoom, but some of the new panasonic compacts have this super slow smooth zoom feature....

Hi, anyone register the local extended warranty yet?
we should register E-P1 under DSLR or compact digital? I think there is no 17mm lens selection also.

I can't comment about the AF speed since i don't have it,but for the video zooming, the answer is yes, like D5000,D90,500D and 5D MKII,there is zoom during film, smooth or not depends on lens and handling since it's mechanical zooming, not like compact camera or video cameras where you push the slider it will zoom in or out

also can't comment on AF for f1.4 lenses, cause i don't have such a lens.
totally didn't use the kit zoom lens, so can comment on the AF.
but the 35mm pancake AF in low light is fast enough for me... didn't feel there's excessive hunting or painfully slow.
to me, definately beats g10, grd1, dp1 n maybe lx3 AF.

Day light wise, haven't brought it out, but in the train station where it was quite bright, feels quite instant.

One thing is i don't like the 'intelligent' AF, never focuses on what i want, maybe cause all my composition sala... so i end up setting to focus in center, then i focus n recompose the shot...

Anyone can recommend how to edit the video files?? on PC... my premiere CS3 n after effects CS3 keeps on crashing.. think cannot handle the 720p natively well... :(
