I joined the club to buy the battery at $45.
Am I supposed to receive any member card or t shirt after joining the club?

When i register it this afternoon, i saw the list.
There is a Membership card, a Cap and Polo Shirt (or Tee shirt, can't rem exact).

The menu is very different from what i have been using for the past 4 years...
Need a little time to get use to it, wonder if the workshop will be useful...

don't think so...
joining the e-club gives u some privileges like invites to events, camera loan during repair (subject to availability), etc.
extended warranty is when u register online. i don't think u need to be a e-club member to get the ext warranty. i registered the warranty first before becoming a e-club member.

Hmmm, I like the Zuiko, seems more focused at least in these samples ... cheaper too :think:

That's because it is much harder to use the Leica than the Zuiko for such shots and also because cats and contrast AF do not go together. The Zuiko is twice the focal length than the Leica and I need to shoot closer to the cats than with the Zuiko... more easy to spook them. Also, contrast AF takes so long to focus that the cats would usually have moved when the shot is ready to be taken. The Leica was shot wide opened at f/1.4 in the first shot and the narrow depth of field is quite difficult to control... the cat moves just a bit and something would be out of focus.

Has anyone tried the Zuiko 25mm with FT adaptor on the Pen yet? How's the AF?

Don't know whether this has been posted before but those who want to see how an E-P1 or other m43 and four thirds camera look like when couple with other Four Thirds, m43 and even some rangefinder lenses can do so using the Matching Stimulation at FourThirds.org here

When using the art effects in video mode, the videos are kinda jerky. Will a better card solve the problem? I was given a class 4 card free with the cam.

Nope.. The frame rates are reduced when you use video with art filters.

Where did you guys register? Do you have to go down to olympus studio to make the payment and collect the items or did you register online?

Also, is it possible to ask an e-club member to help redeem the battery instead? ;p

I think the jerky effect blends in "perfectly" if you use the grainy film filter. :thumbsup:

Harvey Norman Centrepoint still has stock. I went to try it this afternoon. However they don't have the double lens kit. And they only have the white version.

Should not have any problem getting 37mm filters in Singapore. I just got the 37mm Hoya HMC UV filter from Cathay Photo yesterday. Hoya HMC UV filters are ranked top compared to even much more expensive filters in this test comparison.
