I want black too, but I think white would be nice for a change , modern, in contrast to my antique black OM. Once again, Olympus is in the forefront of small professional cameras. I wish they would also resurrect the spot metering of the OM-4, include bracketing as well ... all wishful thinking :bsmilie:.

OMG. The case and strap is beautiful! A little like my OM-2n's which I love! :bsmilie: Would like a black better though, since white is a little feminine.

I think the leaked pictures are really nothing special now... With all the leak images and speculations we could roughly figure out how the camera looks even prior to these new leaks.

I am more interested in oly's lenses lineup compared to pany, hope that'll be reveal tomorrow.

I mean, the accessories are nice and all, but if the lenses aren't up to specs, whats the point? I won't want to use this camera with m-mount lens only, since wides are effectively x2.

There will be some degree of parallex error, but the futher your subject the less degree of error it would seem.
Ovf(optical viewfinders) are fixed, but I'm not sure if oly's version has multiple framelines(it looks huge). There are such thing such as optical zoom finder from leica and cosina, but those are costly and bulky, defeating the purpose of a compact large sensor camera imo.

For close focus, there's always the LCD.

I've been toying with the idea of getting an E420 as my vanity camera (i.e. pretty looking thing that looks vintage but still takes great pics in most conditions)...and I think the EP-1 just stole that sale =p

A couple of hours ago, I went to the Olympus U.S.A./Canada web site and they still had not mentioned anything, but doing a search on "E-P1" took me to the flash unit and 2 lens adapters for the camera. The body itself is not linked to the main site in any other way, though.

A bit more exp for the body than I expected. After all it is very basic, but I am curious how the sensor performs. 100-6400 in manual mode is rather nifty!

The zoom kit actually looks big. That's how small the body is.

"shake reduction (1/8 to 30s)" <-- That's IS? or the old shake reduction that exists in the PnS cams?

I dun see any IS logo on the leaked Pen photos if they are real
