Maybe u should read the user review at your link...not as fast as it mentioned...just like extreme 3 state 133x vs ultra 2 80x but their diff is less than 5%...tested in Canon fastest Digital Cam...

You're right, the review said twinmos not fast enough.
So, 2GB Lexar 80x is value for money? any comments?

Saw Sandisk normal speed 2Gb $140 and Kingston 2Gb 100x $169, bought the Lexar 2Gb 80x at $159.

I bought 2 1gig Lexar 40x 2 yrs ago for $389 each.

Me too...I bought $388 each for 512mb Extreme 2 CF x 2, a year later bought another 1Gb Extreme 2 at same $388...and a year later ...now only $188 for ultra 2 and $230 for extreme3 for 2GB!

how much is lexar 80x then? it real speed is 6.7mb/sec when compare the new 133x - 7.6mb/sec...result tested on 1D mkN...

Guys, I'm using Fujifilm S9500, found that using CF cards seems to have shorter battery life, compare to using xD, isn't it. How much shorter is it?

Like that...I prefer utlra 2 at $188 much more stable...Lexar 80x had issue before...can't afford to take the risk...Thanks...r u going to get Canon lenses?

No lah, went to shop around, then met Auntie Florence who as usual had to tempt me by giving a good price for the 30D. Nono i think i will still stick to my quest for looking for a 1D.......:bsmilie:

BTW i am using a Lexar 1Gb, thw series which supposedly had probs with Canon, mine's still good after like a year? These things really depends on luck lah.

No worries lar , you didn't lose much. I just came back from the IT Show, it's the usual few models that was seen from the past years, so I ended up talking to them rather than taking shots even though i have my gear with me.
