Is the Ixus 800 really worth it over the 60?

I've never really bothered. Most of the time, pics turn out fine on the Exilim.

The handshake thing only gets to me when it's really windy, or when I'm tired. Haha.

But I think when shooting in really poor light, with 1/12 shutter speeds, the Antishake does kick in. I didn't manage to do tests, but the motion blur wasn't extreme with pics I took then: just a slight blur to make the pic look wrong.

If you really want IS and dont mind the "not-so-good" looks,

the A710 is a really good camera with IS too. Handy for a guy, small to carry with a nice case.

Any review on the A710? Any idea when will it be reaching our shore?

I own a Casio with the Antishake DSP Technology. Its effects don't seem evident. Small movements of the subjects under low-light result in motion blur when shooting without flash. I guess the antishake doesn't cover subject movement, just small hand movements.:dunno:

Casio's antishake is just boosting of ISO.

Anyway, antishake is not supposed freeze subject movement.

sorry it took so long

THanks bro. The conclusion is -> no difference. So the IS and zoom must justify the 150 difference. :)

actually the IXUS 800 IS is just a little bit sharper
it really shows when the shutter speed goes really slow

Hmmmm..the IS helps I suppose. Must really thank you bro.

What does IS stand for?:dunno:
Does it mean "Image Stabilizer" ?

Been seeing too many acronyms in the site, already having a hard time understanding technical stuff; still have to figure out acronyms .. hehehee .. :sweatsm:

Canon Ixus has so many models like the IXUS 750, IXUS 65. What makes a person choose one over another? Price? Looks?
