Sorry , a bit off topic here :
Are the rest of the other brand (Hoya etc) filters that OP is selling also of a different grade and quality compared to what is available from CP, Lords etc? Reason being :
1) I noticed that the quality of the packing is not as good. I bought one Hoya Pro series from Lords and the way the filter is packed in the case is more secure than what I see of the Hoya Pros that I see in OP. Packaging for the stock in OP is also a bit yellowish and old looking.
2) On a Hoya HMC filter I bought from them (OP) , the metal strip on the interior of the ring holding the glass in place popped out when I first opened the package. That being said, the price was pretty cheap.
So if B+W filters they carry are for the China market, would it be the same case for Hoya etc?
mind ...how much u pay for hoya hmc n Pro1 D i assume...size?
sorry for side track..
Lords (what i can remember...) :
Hoya HMC 72mm ~ $30+
Hoya Pro1 D 52mm ~$40+ (I think)
OP:
Hoya HMC 62mm $17 (that seems pretty cheap to me!)
Errrr...., I am using B+W filter on all my lenses because I value all my lenses.IMO, some things can and should save, but since they are for higher end lenses, these costs for quality products should not be compromised.

the B+W from OP was said to have a color when compared to one from my trusted shop. There wasnt much of a price diff as well. Best is do a comparison when buying.
Yes. But it should not have been with a same product name. If it remains confined to China, then well and good. The problem now is that those "lesser" products are now being re-sold in other places. i.e. Singapore. And frankly speaking, if not for this thread, I would not have known that there is a significant difference in quality, since it is supposed to be the same product.
If that quality means only for China market, OP is guilty to bring it out from China, and sell it at no much different price for their own profit.Yes. dont be surprise that these second grade filter might be make in china too.
I think my b+w filter from CP (not OP) has the words 'Made in Germany' at the ring. Quite large font tooCan anyone confirm what it says for the b+w filter from OP?
Anyway, I don't think any reputable company would lie about where it's made.
