The rest of my IR images from this trip are found here: www.flickr.com/photos/evilgeniuses

I use a D70 with the hot mirror replaced with a IR longpass filter from Edmund Optics, and the D70 kit lens 18-70mm to create these images. Post-processed with NX for RAW conversion and CS2 for channel swap and auto leveling.

Comments & critiques are welcome. Cheers.

I can only say one thing. WOW!!
Very nicely done. I particularly like the composition of #3 & #5.

Beautiful...

One thing about IR at those islands... your subject is distinct.. I got problems isolating my subjects.. still got a long way to go finding proper composition.

This is real amazing IR colors and subjects! #3, #5 simply stands out!

#2 is very nice.
Didn't know Edmund LP can acheive such good results.

#4 is my pick 'cos my preference is sharp pics with depth.

Ys, like Dennis said, "Didn't know Edmund LP can acheive such good results."

Thks for sharing.

nice leh ...
my favs are #2 and #3

Great set!!!

Thanks to all for your comments :) IR has let me re-discover landscape photography all over again. The indonesians on CB4 take truly spectacular IR shots and there is much, much to learn from them!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing.. I find the photos v beautiful. Like the composition, colours and sharpness..

My faves is #3 (I love how the leaves show the wind conditions..but are not motion blurred due to the modified camera) and #4 (for its sharpness).

I think I am going to dig out my old ELP filter and try on my new GRD to see what colours I can get :)

漂亮!!!

Hi,

Beautifully taken and processed photo's

My favourite would be #1. Apart from composition, I like the difference of white (left and right starting at the palms).

Great photos. :)

I have difficulty getting IR color with my camera and pp. I am happy with B&W's. You surely do not share my difficulty with color. Wonderful photo's and a pleasure to view.
