hard to say, the 7D is still retailing new from the US stores at about USD700 avg. s'pore shops have to sell at a higher price because KM prob did not give it to them on consignment because if they did, these dealers would have returned the unsold 7Ds and 5Ds when the sony merger/ buy-out was announced. so they're stuck with what they paid for these units. as for tcw pricing, that's something else.. ;)

poor thing. and it gets worse when the A100 is priced lower than that.
 

not exactly. there'll be ppl who'd prefer to pay a slight premium and have a place to take their camera back if there's a problem. i'm seriously thinking of getting a 7D off a US store, chuck the warranty issue if there's ever one, and take the risk of paying my own parts/ repair if there are faults (my 5D's served me well for almost a year, only problem is the shutter/1st-pic hang issue which i can live with). for those of us lucky enough to buy a 2nd hand unit we also wear the risk of the unit going kaput. so it doesn't matter even if the A100 is priced lower, or if it has more features. take a look at ebay and see how much some film cams are still going for, unbelieveable... welcome to real world economics :)

not really, since got the adapter, thinking of make use of it, as 85mm G is out of my reach now :cry: , so resort to cheaper M42 manual focus lens.

75mm f/1.4 seem to be good. The authetic and good one can't afford, the cheap one seem untrustable, especially from one of the Poland Ebayer, the Ebay rating is submitted by multiple similar user, no paypal some more, won't even dare to bid.

loads of old lenses on ebay that you can get. the zenitar fisheye is a good buy, uses the m42 mount too, of course, don't buy a lens just to justify the adapter ;)

I saw your photo taken with your 7D using this lens. It's very good, nice shots. :thumbsup: i am interested in the lens but will you be able to lower the price a bit please cos i have a very tight budget.

whoot whoot!!!!! finally got M42 to MInolta adapter. time to find that guy selling the 1000mm lens.
 

Got a cheap lens just to try out....it's ok if you have time to manual focus, close down the aperture and then snap the photo. If you need to change aperture quickly and re-focus, need lots of practice to be able to do it quickly.
