Nice nice, you did not do the channel mixing however I like it this way. Seems like sepia toned with snow covered trees. Just like my previous shot.

Did some post-processing with the instruction of Teerex. Now able to bring out the true color of Infra. Enjoy!

Vortex, don sell your 8400. Switch to B&W mode when shooting IR, you'll see the results. I had tried it with my 5700 before i sold it.

Kegler, I assume you had screwed on IR filter and shoot indoor, yes there is no diff than nightshot cos when in nightshot mode, cos it had remove the IR blocking filter in the camera. Furthermore, there is not much reflected IR wavelenght from indoor compare to reflected from outdoor, especilaly from vegetation. Mind you that our normal florecent lamp / mercury lamp does not produce IR light.

Pandaong, the picture of NY gate certainly looks good but it still not true colour IR, it is called as "false colour" IR due to it had been process thru software. True colour IR is from colour IR slide film. The vegetation should be red not pink in colour if it is from true colour IR slide.

Wanted to tell you about doing some pp, but then decided to talk to you about it when we meetup.

So now I guess you must have increased interest in IR photography.

What difference does it make on the camera you use, as long as you are happy with what you shoot. I still us a CP5700 and a P&S Minolta S304.

By theory, yes. You can shoot without night mode on, just with IR filter on, but you'll need plenty of light and long exposure to get image appear and lights up by indoor lighting, again what you'll get will be very little IR wavelenght in your pictures. due to the lightings problems as mentioned.

If you on the nightshot mode, you'll get IR light shines forward thru the lens beneath the flash light ( which pops up every time you turn on the night shot )

we did meet up but planning next week for outdoor shooting, give more time to everyone to organise and plan :)

Met up with one bunch of nice guys. Many thanks to IRMan, spending so much time talking to us and showing us the exhibits.

Panda - I think Pablo won't be able to get a plane ticket to join us for the outing next week. He should be shooting birdies on his Birdie Island :bsmilie:
