Tell yourself anything a RF can do, your sub $1000 dslr can do. So no need to go crazy over a RF, to me it's just a cool looking toy camera. But if you want to convince yourself that a RF or film SLR is better than DSLR, of course you can.
i agree with you bro!
last time on my dslr i see anything just wack only.
but using rangefinder is different, sometimes i didnt even get over 5 shots.
i don't think anyone is trying to say that RF cameras are better cameras than DSLRs... even iPhones can get you great pictures over bigger, bulkier, and often more expensive DSLRs.Tell yourself anything a RF can do, your sub $1000 dslr can do. To each his own dude. Watch out on the RF bashing eh? Especially in the RF Sub Forum.![]()
in fact all the film cameras i own are like toy cameras to me.. and when i say toy cameras i'm not insulting them. I mean they are non-sophisicated, simple fun things to use, like toys.
RF is like enjoying a glass of Brandy and vintage wine. (You think about how they made it, why they did it, and savour the moment)
i don't think RF should be "reserved" only for the privileged few... certain segments / products within RF could be forbiddingly high for some, but RF cameras range all then way down to the compacts and "budget friendly" M and LTM models.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
RF is like sitting down & enjoying the life with a bottle of vintage Dom Pérignon
Old technology but ages well & tastes exquisite no matter which time line of your life.
Build to fine mechanical movements like a Patek Philippe, only meant to be appreciated by some.
I would say, DSLR is like a Tag Heuer, well build for the masses, for exquisiteness, you have your RF like a A. Lange watch.
Only meant to be appreciated by a privileged few who has tasted it.

RF certainly should be available to all to appreciate and explore, be it that you eventually decide to love them / hate them.
