hi all,
i using 5dmk2, is it normal that this sigma lens unable to focus some of the time?
Just wondering if anyone here has tried the nikon version of this lens and how does it compare to the sigma version?
I wonder when the price will drop below 1k
The SIGMA is better and far sharper than the Nikon, Canon and Zeiss. The Sigma is up there with medium format lenses!
Case closed ----
( if you NEEEEEED weather sealed feel free to spend $ another $1000 and get the Nikon or Canon. )
( Zeiss is manual focus only. )
i see....just hope sigma provides good customer services...im pretty sold on the performance on this lens though..just curious how does it stack up to its competitors..haha but yeah..highly likely to be my next purchase in the future i guess
Apparently this lens seems to be sold out... Managed to grab one of two last copies at one of the major retailers here...

ooooooh my god...like knife through butter
GeneKoh said:Yup.. At times I still take my eyes off the viewfinder to check if the lens is really Sigma brand.. Especially after the QC and "Sigma Jaundice" issues they used to have...
And i wonder, "what happened to Sigma..?" Why couldn't they make lenses like this earlier..?
