Image and sharing thread - Sigma 120-300 OS HSM Sports

does your access has got fencing?
looks like a very good place to shoot.
Zone 4 doesn't seem to have such ideal place to shoot.
iam curious if both the images were cropped?

ya there is fencing there too. But able to melt the fence away pretty well with the f2.8. I feel turns11 & 12 near the padang is a good place. This one is a little harder as the cars pick up speed real quick into the pit straight.

no cropping at all for both hehe. First time not focal length challenged at F1. Courtesy of the 120-300, sometimes need to zoom out a little even as the ars come pretty close some times

When u need it urgently,it's always not available.
When u don't need it, u keep seeing it..lol

yes I was pretty close to the fence, witch that standard cap for the official photographer to walk through of course. I will try to post a picture of where i was on friday.

the track near the pit straight is almost 4 lanes wide, hence it is possible to get the full car length at 300mm such as the vettel shot. Alonso type of cornering is a little further and hence easier to get the shot

Actually I PM the Singapore GP page through FB and applied for the official photographer but got no response from them..lol
I wanted to do a wide angle panning shots of these cars.haha

Well hehe... almost no chance for that. They have no shortage of professional photogs from reuters and the likes. usually volunteers r for the track side helpers and you have to train with them for half a year or more haha..... I know cuz I almost volunteered in 2010.

Yeah guess I will have to wait for next year. I guess also ok since I will be saving up for the premiere walk about too so that got better less crowded spots.

ya i meant the volunteer marshal.... more than enough photogs for them to want volunteer photogs. I tried applying in the 2010 round as volunteer photog too but heard nothing at all from the organizers
