I am meeting 2 more CSer tmr....I have not much batteries left to distribute..effectively, you have 2 options .....(1) visit SANYO during office hours (MON-FRI) and get your replacement from them or (2) get them from me ..... but i will need to complete a short waiting list for collection of additional batts b4 distributing to you all. Some of you explained that it's not convenient for you to visit SANYO and would rather exchange with me. Since I need to visit SANYO again, I will complete my final duty by collecting more batts for the waitiing list. Please bear in mind that my duty should end soon. Ah V can only do so much ..... I hope I have managed to help most of you in one way or another.

I had email them few days ago about my 2500 batteries. Their reply was that if I could go down to let them do a test. I will get replacement if the test result does not fall within the accepted expectation.

No matter what is the outcome, I am impress at the way they communicate with customer's email. Fast and polite :thumbsup:

Same experiences here Called them in the morning, went there after lunch, wait about 15min, they tested 2 sets of my 4 sets batteries, and exchanged 3 sets, said one set was okay. I couldn't be sure which set was good and which one wasn't, but I trust their test results, and I'm happy with the new bunch batteries.

Charged one set last Sat, used for a half day shootout, took about 200 shots. Then after one week, used the same batteries yesterday, took over 370 shots at BBT, the battery indicator still showed full . Oh btw, I'm using Pentax *istDs, which usese 4 AA batteries as main power source

I am one of the victim of getting the bad batteries also ( yah, those bad 2500mAH batteries still with me now ) and I would like you to PM me your Sanyo's contact ( Prefer email address ). I believe i can try to work out something like what you did in Singapore for users in Penang, Malaysia, If Sanyo really willings to take cares of the rest of user that is not in Singapore.

Of cause you can talk to Sanyo Singapore if they would like to do that. I knew there are Sanyo service center and other Sanyo Manufacturing ( One of the Sanyo's manufacturing factory is directly opposite to where I am working ) in Penang. If they are willing to appreciate Sanyo's supporters, they should take cares of us in Malaysia also.

I know..I know ... my nick or email has appeared in some M'sian forums. I am not sure how much I can do for you. SANYO, Singapore may not be able to address your issue locally. I am serving my CS community here. Anyway, this is an OPEN secret and most of your fellow photographers have emailed me when Kho King made the earlier announcement in your forums. I will, of cos, NOT handle imitation SANYO batts as I was informed they exists in some parts of Malaysia :sweat: I am assisting by compiling a list for you guys and SANYO, SIngapore will probably refer to SANYO, Malaysia to handle your replacement in your country

So I'd like to say, thank you, Sanyo

here is my report :
charge (02 Nov) and used (03 Nov) 1 set (4 pcs) to my SB-600 flash. Take around 400+ photo. the following days from 04 nov to 21 nov, the batt is never take out from the flash and between these days i took at least again around 400+ photo....and on 21 nov the flash finally display a "bat" indicating that the batt is low and need to charge ... so far the experience for the new set of batt is excellent..thanks to AHV:thumbsup: :thumbsup:

another set was charge on 03 nov, and standy it until 22 nov..when it loaded to my SB-600..my flash is recycling properly (means like new batt fully charge)... and until this date (today) my flash is working fine (recycle fast).....will update how long will the batt last

Hi Ahv,

I went down to Sanyo today.

Total 16 2500 batteries tested.

- 8 faulty and replaced with a new one.
- Another 8 passed the test.

Really thanks to those friendly and helpful Sanyo staffs.

Thanks to Ahv too for mention this issue in CS , if not I still be using faulty batteries.

If I had not reply any PMs, my apologies as there are just too many. Everything which needs to be done was already stated earlier in my FIRST post. My immediate duty as a 'storeman' is to return the bad samples to SANYO asap.
