ok now guess wat, I realised that the leica 50mm f/0.95 is a slow turtle!!
Come on man, show me a 50mm f/0 !!!!!!
eh .... to me these pictures actually showed how badly they are... out of focus. :what:
This is an interesting article.

Personally I like fast lenses and have not experienced light fall-off on my 5D. But the 5D is rated one of the best FF to make full use of fast f1.2 lenses. What's your experience?

What would f/0 be like? :dunno:
But if autofocus speed and consistency becomes your concern one day, definitely I would consider other alternatives.
Just take your lens off your camera, you will find out what f/0 is like. ;p
The 14-35f2 at FOV 28-70 is no more F2 equivalent, more like f4.
only FOV is double, not the aperture. You will still get f2, but the DOF and FOV are double.
That's what I said. DOF and FOV will be different, more like on a 28-70f4 lens on FF.
Actually if you are prepared to sacrifice perspective, e.g. instead of shooting at 70mm equivalent, you move in closer at 35mm to reduce dof, you can still get f2, can't you?
No you can't. What do you think will be a 4/3 equivalent to a Canon 24f1.4 lens on FF? Definitely not 12f1.4.

I have made the decision, and I took the plunge again.... i went ahead and got myself the 24mm f1.4L instead !!!! ;p
The decision to get the 24mm was quite simple. I was roaming around in Hong Kong at night during the recent 2011 countdown, then I realised that most of the time, both the 85 f1.2 and 50 f1.2 are quite tight, and I cant really capture the "mood" of the whole scene. In addition, when shooting the pubs area, I realise that even at iso 3200 & to maintain at least a 1/60s shutter speed, my apeture MUST be arnd at least F/1.8. thus this easily rules out those 16-35 f2.8 lens, 14mm f2.8 & the 17-40 f4 is totally out. And besides, i am walking arnd taking shots, mostly for candids, and the surrounding is packed with ppl, so tripod again is also out of the question.
Then i tot to myself, and figured that even the 35mm on the 1.3x crop factor is still quite tight, and thus i got the 24mm instead! I have tried before the 35mm, and find that 35mm is not really very significantly wider than 50mm, so there isnt much difference in perspective.
24mm seemed to be the right walkabout focal length on 1.3x crop or full frame, as u can even use ur dslr to take self portraits of u and ur friend with ur hands stretched out to hold the camera and shoot urself.
The lens will arrive in 4 days time, looking forward to using it for night walkabout shots!![]()
Kcuf u but from where need 4 days? Hk? Deliveries can be trusted ah?
