Should have tried the internal antidust mechanism first as its easier and usually will remove the dust. Dust is everywhere. Apart from shielding us from the sun's rays, it also moves around including inside your DSLR box whenever you change lens!

oh...ok...stubborn spot. ;p Good to hear its cleared out. If its a concern, as I said you can set it to auto vibrate each time you power on.

thanks, i just patiently waited for it actually. SLR revo already knew my face going in and out of their store waiting for it.

FA 35 is a great lens indeed, it's my fave lens.

BTW, don't be fooled with the color, i just bumped up the saturation for poisoning newbies... hehe...

BTW... I haven't even heard from Amazon yet... ordered 2 K-x kits on 3rd January and its more than one week already. Order page still says NOT YET SHIPPED.

In the meantime, the other stuff I ordered from Amazon on 3rd January (some camera flashes, photographic gear, a laptop) is already on its way to Borderlinx.

Now wondering how long I should wait to instruct Borderlinx to ship to Singapore because I myself am leaving Singapore on 15th January for a work assignment.

I thought I'd be able to at least try out the new zoom lenses plus some other lenses I acquired recently before I leave Singapore! Aw!! :cry:

Wow you really are lumping everything in one shipment to save cost man! Actually, have you thought of shipping one batch of items that cost less than $400 in total so that these will not be taxed instead of batching it up with the camera kits and laptop in one shipment?

7% of $400 equates to $28 which might be the actual cost of the shipping

Bro Sircam, I order 1 day after you. Looks like there is a delay compared to others that can get in just 2 weeks only. Hopefully can ship by this week. Very eager to use my first DSLR. I'm a newbie and so excited to use it.

Actually not lumping everything together... breakdown is below for your perusal:

Laptop costs less than 2K, so it is coming to Singapore on its own with 7% GST paid at customs.

The compact flashes, gorillapods and allied photo gear put together amount to less than $400, so all these are being lumped together to save on 7% GST.

The two K-x kits will be shipped separately too with 7% GST paid as they total less than 1.4K together.

Was thinking of buying a Pentax dedicated Metz 58-AF1 flash gun too... but that has been put on hold for now.

Any suggestions? Does this breakdown seem prudent to you?
