How to type Chinese text in MS Word/PowerPoint?

Hi!

Would really appreciate if someone can share with me the steps required to key in the characters in MS Word and PowerPoint ...

use NJstar? think me old school, but tats wat i use from dunno how long ago til today...

1. go to control panel

2. go to regional and language options

3. go to language

4. check on install files for East Asian languages

5. follow the instructions and change typing language by selecting the language option on your window menu bar, you can also open the language bar and leave it at the top of your window. input languages can be changed by clicking both alt and shift buttons thereafter.

Or install multi-language Windows Office 2000. We use that in our office for our Jap bosses.

don't really know whether it's my dual monitor setup or something else, but i enable the autoswitching hotkey, because when the window where you want to type in the characters loses focus when you click to select the language settings, the os thinks you're trying to set it for the desktop.
