Spent less than 1k on camera on equipment.. And i mean this equipment i'm holding..

Camera bought 2nd hand from cs.. Lenses are from shops, cathay photo and all, and cost me less than 1k.. :)

And all are in serious working condition..

Before the canon system, i was on oly system, and earn $$ and cca points through my sch.. lol.. and that costs a lot, the camera and equipment.. around $4k? :D

so if i were to add, oly and canon system, it will be around $5k.. considered less than the average users around here liao.. Since i adding the 2 system $$ together.. :D

I spent between 10K +++. But I think its a good investment. Not really doing business but its a nice outlet and stress reliever (in some ways  )

After spending some at the IT show, perhaps total amount is $2k?
Not planning to spend much anyway, perhaps after i improve more and master some techniques.
But it's true that you need certain equipment to learn some techniques.

Stress reliever... good good. I pretty stressed about how to make the best use of my $5K investment.

i have just spent another $800+ for thinktank streetwalker hard drive bag, manfrotto 190CXPRO4 tripod and 486RC2 ballhead at TK.
my 1st day buy camera already spent $4k.
then bought 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for $2.4k.
then realised i need flash so bought sb-900.
flash need to buy accessories so got myself lightsphere2 universal.
another 50mm f/1.8 adds up to my collection..
need to keep my stuff so buy digicabi AD-70.
buy filters to enhance picture quality..
pictures need to store so buy another extra external hard disk.
starting to take pictures raw so buy bigger size cf card.
more things to buy..
macro lens.. with extension tubes..
85mm prime lens..
etc..etc..

so conclusion.. will keep spending..
and i dont want to total up how much i have spent..
heart pain..
hehe!

well off hand,

K20D $1130
18-55 $109
75-300 $224
28-105 $100
Digicabi 036 $110
EF-530 DG ST Flash $220
62mm Hoya CPL $50
3rd party battery $30
SDHC cards....

around $2k and fully operational for a lot of events. The setup is pretty good that not really sure what else i need. Pretty much an improvement over previous Canon system.

spent 1k for my kit. camera is my stress-ball. taking photo can relive stress =P

In the twilight now of whatever years that is left for me and especially where my body can no longer "cash in" all these mental cheques that my mind writes ;) photography is one of the very few avenues left.

Since changing over from a DSC to DSLR, I have spent heaps. In five short months, I have purchased:

  • D300.
  • MB D10.
  • AFS-DX VR 18-200
  • AF 85mm f/1.8
  • AF-S Micro 60mm f/2.8 ED
  • Sigma 30mm f/1.4
  • Extension tubes
  • Filters
  • Batteries
  • Compact Flash cards

......and now for a R1C1.....I think I will kick the bucket before I master to use all of them :bsmilie:

make a bucket list of wat to master first lor. hahah.:bsmilie:

Juz imagine once it hits the 10k level, I might really cry. WTF have I done to spend so much $$. A suzuki swift sport cost 50k and now on a handheld light exposuing box, I spent 10k+. OMG

The choice is yours. A Suzuki Swift Sport with a small camera bag in the boot. OR a Toyota Liteace with photo process lab for a boot and a few Tele primes mounted on the roof (Hee hee Just dreaming). ;p

I still think it is the Swift. I still able to live with a desktop and my trusty laptop for image processing. I am still alone (T_T, intro me gals pls :p) so surely my equipments all can fit in my car with a spare sit for passenger incase. I dun think mounting Tele primes on the roof is a good idea if anything like a branch hits the glass. It will be very painful OUCH!!!!:nono:
