Brought A850 few years back n still use for time lapse n some outing. Then came the rx100 to replace another compact. A7R recently as an upgrade/backup for A850. Still got a video camera for kids n tour.

Why?
I started photography with film when I was 10yrs old.
Years back during film days, you need a 2nd or 3rd body with film loaded on assignments as you just transfer the lens to continue shooting when the 1st camera run out of frame.
With digital, I just mount different focal length lens for a different perspective and backup.
Gopro? when I go cycling...
