personally i like Thai horror movies followed by Japanese/Korean horror movies.

most asian movies uses music and sound effects for the scary factor, while most eastern horror movies uses gore, makeup and "shock"

the gore, makeup and "shock" effect ends when I leave the movie theatre.

Asian horry movies plays with your minds, and the effect lingers on long after the movie ends. I remember for Japanese movie THE RING, for days after watching the move, i cover my TV set in my room when I sleep.

the memorable hollywood "horror" productions for me are THE OTHERS & THE SIXTH SENSE....

otherwise I still prefer Asian when it comes to horror. ALONE is good http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0484090/
it's a story about a pair of siamese twins. Deceased Siamese twin returns to haunt surviving sister

the best scene is when the actress is walking alone on a calm beach... she turns around after awhile... sees 4 footprints!

If you watch The Exorcist backwards, it’s about a girl who’s very sick until she eats some pea soup and finally gets better.
