Hi CS,
Is it possible to check whether HK is in stock with Tokina 11-16mm?. The price should be at least $200 difference compared to Singapore.
Thank you.
Tokina 11-16 is quite a popular lens in HK. The stock usually run low but will get replenish quite fast. It is not feasible to check the availability since it might be available now but after 2 weeks the stock will be gone.Hi CS,

Just gave HK Tokina authorized distributor a call and was told all Tokina lens carries a 2-year International warranty. There should have a warranty card issued by Tokina Japan inside the box. If the lens is a local set, there will be an additional warranty card issued by the HK distributor and that one carries a 3-year local warranty. Have not bought Tokina lens before so all these are just information collected from the HK local distributor - Laikok Photographic Products (HK) Ltd. Tel: +852 2292-5111With so many shops around, I'm sure you will be able to find one with stock. However, I understand that Toki does not have international warranty.
Just had a random check this afternoon while I was in Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) and Sham Shui Po (SSP), both stores have stock and here are the price quoted (both are Canon mount local sets with 3-yr local warranty and 2-yr international warranty cards):Hi CS,

I would suggest you get the local warranty card convert to the international one while you are in HK. As I was told, it only takes a few minutes in Sony SC. There is no clear guideline in applying the tourist limited warranty through mail or e-mail so I will be hesitate to send the local warranty card in just in case it get lost. Thanks CS for this useful thread.
Planning to get Sony DSLR from Hong Kong but came to know that i need to register in HOng Kong SC for "Tourist Limited Warranty" in person or by mail. So just wonder if i can register online or there is a change now for registering international warranty in Hong Kong.
If still the same i just have to put my international warranty card in the envelop & send in Hong kong. That all right ?

Sony has two SC, one in Mongkok and the other one in Causeway Bay in the HK island side. And they are open 7 days a week so might just pop in and get your warranty card converted.
No idea about camera bag price in Shenzhen. Perhaps China made bags might be slightly cheaper in Shenzhen but I have not bought any bags there. I am only using Billingham bags at the moment. Thanks for your advice. Is the camera bag (can take in camera & laptop plus some shirt) cheaper in HK or shenzhen.

Tin Cheung (TST) HK$4,900
Cam2 (SSP) HK$4,680
I think you need not worry about the availability. Might need to check a few more shops for a better price.
