Hiking & Shooting

Hi,

I would like to get a group of like-minded people together that like hiking and taking photos.

Would be good to start with just a few day- or half-day hikes around Singapore and Malaysia.
However, the big goal would be doing volcanos and mountains such as
- Mount Bromo
- Kota Kinabalu
- Lake Toba
- Mount Rinjani
etc.

There are such groups just that the problem is timing. Some people have only 12 days leave per year to 21 days a year so have to plan really way in advance.

If the timing works, it wont be just a group but rather an entire expedition of like minded people.

If its in Singapore or malaysia, It is possible but for major overseas hike, it will be quite hard like what Reportage had said. Some website cater to those busy ppl or individuals who cannot find kaki to go along.

Thanks for the input, thats certainly true. I am also only free a few days a year but think that with clever planning (long weekends / public holidays) that it would be possible. Also, not looking at doing more than 1-2 trips / year (for up to max. 4 days / trip).

There is always Bukit Timah Hill uphill walk if you guys want to test your kit inclusive of camera gear. Not exactly comparable to a real mountain hike but its steep uphill walk is no joke. This sunday if everyone free, we can go for bukit timah hill outing.
