Higher cost for Photographer or Lower margin for Organiser

With fewer organisers, it becomes a supply and demand thing. Prices for model shoots and workshops will go up. It's economics, it's business, it's life.

That is something we have to wait and see.

Just like we can all stop coming to CS to prove a point to the admins, if the cost of shoots is high, we could all stop going to the shoots just to push a point across to the shoots org'er, it cuts both ways.

However, sometimes its a lack of choice thing.

Just like people complain all the time about rising taxi fares, but still take them taxis...

Anyway from what is known to me, I doubt there's much cause to raise prices by any significant margin.

But you have a choice, not joining a paid shoot does not mean you have to stop shooting altogether. You can always make private arrangement to shoot a TFCD model, shoot your friends/sisters/brothers, private arrangement to shoot a paid shoot amount those you know, etc.. Many here are able to shoot on their own. This have always been the case before CS came along. Paid shoot in CS just make things easier for all who want to shoot but is not the be all and end all of people shooting in photography. What my friends and I do in the past is we got a friend or model and we paid for the cost. We invite ( free ) a more senior photographer to come along to guild us. That's how we learn. I'm doing the same now in return for some of my friends who may be less skillful in studio lightings.

Much like taking a taxi, some want the convience so they pay a little more while others unhappy with the fare hike, have start using BMW ( Bus, Mrt, Walk ). So you have a choice, do you want convicence or a little more work.

Yes true, but you are talking about alternatives, not choices.

Choices means getting the same thing but having a choice as to who to get it from.
