there is nothing high fashion about this. all its shown is poor styling and poor attention to detail. Nothing about this makes me think expensive or exclusivity. the bad styling here just makes the clothes look cheap and its such a waste considering you do have a good fashion face doing what she can with the outfits. To call this high fashion just harkens back to the occassions when people toss the word edgy around to describe a model's look when its VERY obvious they have no clue what the jargon they are using means. as it is shown quite clearly here. High Fashion aka haute couture is a blend of fashion with art and this. is. clearly. not the case. nothing couture or arty about this at all. Even the lighting does nothing to convey a mood.

thanks for the comment.

Poor chap. Another one ganna for title issue. Overall, I think you've done good effort, shooting @ Botanic Gdn?

Bra strap showing in a few pics, remove some unwanted colour spots & I'm sure with some effort on PS, they can be quite nice.

Overall the pictures are fair, yet still have a room for improvement, particularly the placement of the lights and shooting angles.

I'm not sure how you planned this photo session but its better to do some research and some reading based on the setup and output you want to achieve. Planning a shoot 1-2 days ahead is a good start..Again, need to improve based on the comments and suggestions that has been mentioned on this thread. :)

At first when you claimed for the second set I thought it would be better but, it's the other way round....bleah...
out of focus is definitely obvious. WB sala (esp #10).....oh my god....it can't be fashion. Hardly put into "good portraits" also.

lookin at the outfits, yes they are not high fashion at all... not even on part2... but let's just comment on the photos n wut's in the photos...
no. 9 & 11 are good, and got potential... yes, the bra straps shouldn't be seen... on #9, if she's an experienced model, she should know that it's better to straighten her back n put her shoulders inwards for that kind of pose... then the outfit need to be iron or something... u can see it looks like it just came out from a laundry, n this is definitely not high fashion my friend... :)

I see no high fashion here...just an ordinary posing and styling...

Perhaps an 'Outdoor Fashion Shoot' title should be appropriate in this case and lessen
the critiques.Overall a very nice try though.

perhaps u want to be more careful with ur cropping
and to clear the doubts above, waiting for the 'High Fashion' set

so the wait for 'High Fashion' is over... sorry disappointed as mentioned by many on the above
keep shooting tho.

title is important. it sets the tone for what the audience can expect. If terminator was called robot man would it have the same impact?

LOL...i won't even bother to watch, if it's that name.

btw high fashion - known as haute couture, can be found here, http://www.hautfashion.com/.

just to share, not slamming or picking anyone. Go wiki and look for the meaning. =D

and if you guys are interested in high fashion, why not go lasalle and find the student there to collaborate with them.

Cheers!

and to TS ...nice work!

wah eh guys, i know i may be new the the forum. but seriously you guys slammed him hardd man..
chill a little la, your expectations of a pleasing shot may be very different from his.
i agree that it's not what i expected too, but i think the tone of response and critique could have been better.

=)

thanks for the good and bad comments. and i shall have a last one for alonya.

i personally feel that this series is pretty good, in term of posing and compo... yes lighting need improvement, but i still think it's a good try and pretty decent shoot ! :)

seem like the under-exposed treatment doesnt work for most. shall do it the other way then.

i enjoy what u have done with the lighting. i think it is a good job done. in terms of styling, like what most of the ppl here have commented, the styling is definitely not high fashion. not sure who was the one who planned the styling but if it was too hard to pull off, consider doing something simpler. no shame in that.

realised most of the shots are half body ones. personally i thought if u were shooting fashion, u need to showcase the clothing more than the model unless there were some accessories on her that u need a closeup of.

ps. u got the model's name wrong in some parts.
