yes, the 55-200mm nikon can fit onto your d3000 and also use auto focus with vibration reduction.

Alot of lenses can fit onto your d3000, if its a nikon lens, 95% of the time it will fit. If its other brand lenses eg sigma , tamron etc, they will say nikon mount which means can fit onto your d3000. What you should be worried is whether it can auto focus on your d3000, we wont be so bad as to suggest a lens to you that cant fit onto your d3000.

Yes you need to check if that lens can auto focus in your camera body. Will be sad if you only realize you have to do manual focusing on your new lens after you have bought it.
