Hi

I am wondering if there is anyone offering this service to someone who has no time and no skill to enhance some photos for printing. I would appreciate if some one can point me to the right direction.

I have taken many digital photos locally and overseas but need photoshop expert to take my brief and turn those shots into images I want.

Thanks

Please define, "someone who has no time and no skill to enhance some photos for printing" ?

i think he meant he have no time to do editing.

But Hotzone also said, "need photoshop expert to take my brief and turn those shots into images I want".

u need to define what u mean?

like underexposed or overexposed photos? merge together??

how would you pay? per hour? per image?
and what do you mean by
"turn those shots into images I want"

how bad are the originals anyway?

What is the market rate, if there is any? Anyone do this for a living or partime basis juts like there are people who do traditional B/W photo printing in the darkroom.

The original photos are not bad images just need some touches to enhance it.

DI artists make gazillion dollars for an image.

maybe you would consider $/image
how many are there?

Wow, maybe I should switch career ;P

I do not know how much $ per image to offer, what is considered reasonable? What are the factors to consider when someone do offer this service? woulod it be in terms of complexity of the brief, the time taken for each image?

Maybe you should give an example of what you need, post a before and after shot. then people know what you expect and can give you a price accordingly.

err, I dont have before and after right now. Basically its to crop, adjust the color, burn a bit here and doge a little there, adjust the contrast and exposure a little, probably do a frame with photo title or my signature so that I can enlarge the photos to at least 10x12 for my personal exhibition :)

Would you charge per image or per hour basis?

Well, it would be difficult if you are not able to specify your instructions as the things you have said are quite subjective....perhaps you can do one photo yourself and post as an example so that it will help a lot.

Per image would make more sense, else there's no incentive to work faster. You also can't monitor how long the guy takes anyway, right?

If you're just looking for cropping, contrast and exposure adjustment, slight burning and dodging, plus signature(you provide, I don't design), PM me.

as much as i would like some1 out there to help you.... why dun you just call off the 'personal exhibition' ..whatever this means to you

If your 'not too bad' images can ONLY be shown after DI, then why bother to stress yourself up in the first place ?

Shoot more .... If your images can be seen "as it is " without 'touchup' in the future, you deserve a BIG exhibition :)

since T.S going to send for printing, y not ask the printer do for him...

anyway just a suggestion...

Since you used to go to Digipro, you can try Foto Station(Wong's) at Marine Terrace as well.

I was forced recently to get some prints done urgently as well so I tried this shop at Parkway. It's a Kodak shop(Standard Photo) in the basement, opposite this KM shop(which produces horrible print quality and has horrific service). They print low volume at $5/pc S8R on Kodak Endura(They told me Kodak Royal initially but I was surprised when i got it back on Endura) and are quite friendly. Not by any means the cheapest but perhaps you can negotiate for a lower price for a greater volume.

You can also try Triple D at Burlington square. Super express service. $3 per S8R for CS members on Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme(or something like that).

If you want to take the high-end route, I have some recommendations for you.
Note that being good at photoshop and having a printer's eye are two different things - that is why the people who do this for a living charge accordingly.
