i was going to shoot on my friend wedding day indoor. would like to know which angle should i place my external flash in order to shoot on vertical n horizontal.izzit i gonna keep adjust the flash once i wanna change the shot from vertical to horizontal?i m using diffuzer.. thank lot..

Yes, practically it is that. Once you change the orientation of your camera from horizontal to vertical, then you have to re-angle your External flash to point, say, upwards again.
After a while, you'll get the hang of it.
That is why the higher end flashes with better joints for more awkward angles are better.
