instead of us telling you what we want, why not the members tell us what do you want and we consider?

An newbie photographer keen in people photography aspires to be a famous
fashion photographer one day, right? A photographic model-to-be may
want to be photographed by a world famous photographer one day, right?
So everyone who is not so great at the beginning aspires to be the best
one day. Eventually they all have to start from somewhere.
What is the driving force behind that desire?
You need certain qualities to fulfill besides the time and expenses incurred
(camera equipment for the photographer, makeup and clothes for the model,
organizing and marketing skills for the event organizer).
What other qualities that will enable you to fulfill that desire?
You need a capable sincere organizer of such shooting events to be successful.
All three parties must have their minds and bodies sync in harmony instead
of being in conflict.
So as long as everyone involved did not have to struggle in order to fulfill
their desire, there will be harmony and most of all the love in giving and
receiving even if such events are deemed to be more materialism or "disrespect"
in nature by some non participants.
Marketing is part and parcel of almost everything. Even a country does
marketing to bring in the money for survival, aka the "Singapore Girl";
"Uniquely Singapore" and so on. Never mind about the words being used so
long as the slogan is within the boundaries of the local law. You see these words
everyday in the papers and magazines in advertisements from airlines,
fashion houses, cosmetic products to massage parlours.
What most of us missed is the true love that these passionate people have in
making all parties have a good time and at the same time a chance to be on
their way to fulfill their desire to be the best in what they are doing.
Congratulations to all moderators for their understanding, organizers for their
efforts, photographic model-to-be for their patiences and especially to all
participating photographers for their fantastic enthusiasm.

I agree with you totally. It's absolutely disgusting to use Office Lady, NTU and NUS to sell sex.
I was really tempted to slam it.
However, it's a free market and free speech. If we do not like the way this was advertise, all we could do is ignore/boycott it. We cannot legislate it out of existence. However, if the target market accepts it, so be it, no matter how much I do not like the style of the delivery.

i agree. i make sure my models are professional,been trained, and not any xmm.
i lend my flashes and teach photographers to do cls. i do tfcd for friends who like to try out modelling and earn some cash for part time especially in times like that.
and i will be importing studio light for lingerie shoots.
so one thing i can assure is, i bother about lightings. ALOT.
certain shots tend to give good quality outputs. certain shots tend to give substandard, snapshottish outputs. stick around long enough, you'll get what i mean
i see my post is quoted here. i am not angry actually, ok i agree maybe it is a bit cheesy and i will look out on that. but i am doing OL theme, what else can i say?
i hope u are not condemning or sterotyping the whole industry just because of the things u have seen from the forum which is only the surface.
i hope u can open ur mind and not be bias.
i am willing to give u a free slot in my shoot. seeing and experiencing is believing.
if u still feel the same about this kinda shoot, or at least my shoot, go ahead and flame me or discourage people to join. i wont rebuke.
anyway if u have seen my latest shoot? chihuahua theme? i guess action will tell if i am into cheesy themes or creative themes. i hope nothing is taken offensively as i am just trying to discuss this topic.

i am here and i cannot act like i did not see and pretend nothing happen, in fact it will ended up in people slaming me on my thread and causing my shoots to suffer.
i just want to discuss. and i will reflect on what is said here and made adjustments.
after thinking in through, it may not be such a great ideal to use these words,personal integrity wise. however from a business point of view, i wouldnt say so because its a free speech and the markets accepts and demand for it.
for example, the person who sells and promote cig is at fault? or is it the smoker?
or in fact no one is at fault because this is a free market. and everyone can choose what they want to demand or supply.
of cause there will be people who condemn smoker. but what to do? freedom of speech in the liberal state.

Hey Bro, like many of us has mentioned. We have the freedom of speech. You can continue your theme. As mentioned in my previous post, I am just a small minor CSer, raising my POV as well. It is up to the authority to take action. Whether it is right or wrong, it is not for us/me to decide.
Also, I doubt neither of us will post directly at your thread so as not to jeopardize your goodwill and your shoot head on as well.

A bit of OT here .....
For those photog who want to be more creative and have different shots from the others ... they usually will not bother to join these shoots. They would do their own private shoots and create their own image ... the photos that they want ... not what the organisers dictate.
that i agree to a certain extent only. because not everyone have a way to get all the resources and contacts to create the effect they want. and u cannot say that then they are not real photographers. in today world, how many people can afford to fork out this kinda time for such tedious organising?
i believe u said so because u find no creativity in the organised shoot?
give me some time, actions will tell. but again i cant gaurantee u as my i may not be the most creative person, but i will try to be. =)
yesh. that is what i want to say, not quarrel nor confronting but discuss. just like the way we talk about photography, no anger no biasness. don't have to slam me to make a point cause i will definitely lose in a place like this! it's like knowing the mountain got tiger still go the mountain(direct translattion from chinese)
