Hey HUGgies , sorry i missed the Fiery Indian Dancer shoot . Out of town . Heard you guys had a great time . Was told they are showing off the 20 frames / sec Profoto pro8A power pack at the Launch of the H3DII 50 and HTS 1.5 on 21st March at Shriro House . Its a saturday afternoon thing 12-5 pm so I am sure to be there.
Swimsuit babes for target practice with a D3X for testing the high speed lights .
Also will have items for sale from all their brands like Linhof , Gossen , Tamrac and Gitzo .
Chify should get his Butt fixed by then to be there !
See ya !:p

@@" indeed.

Though i myself having a hard time getting filter for my 40.5mm

I saw a 500cm that Looks to be in good condition going for 200USD at RFF :sweatsm:
Body only though. Im thinking a full setup could run me about 1200-1500 sgd, but still need to source for good deals too
Still need to leave about $300 for a meter.

At my age now, no car to sell :P
Can't even go for license xD

Wow how I wish I own a hassy at your age. But be warn that there about four different version of the 500cm buy the later version and minimum get a CF lens should be around $1500.00 or less. ;)

Go pick up a few part time jobs before i can afford anything, haha! :D
Exams finish in awhile more, so i'll probably go for the 21st march gathering for a look. Judging by the images from the past few shoots, you guys look like you're all having a ball

Very envious of kids nowadays...

I couldn't even afford a lego set until I was 21...

:c I guess our generation is really lucky, and future kids will be even luckier!
I remember how some gaming magazine editors mention they only had Pacman or Pong in their day :D

By the way Chiif, if you remember, i'm the one who bought an R2a from you not too long ago. I came with the Hexanon 50mm

The group is getting bigger and I think its important everyone have fun. So I ddint touch the Hassy that day, neverthless here is a picture taken with a leica that night if you all dont mind :)

of course cannot beat the Hassy lah. MP + Elmarit 24 asph + Ektar 100, photoshop to monotone as the colours that night isn't fantastic without the strobe. So BooChap, colour is not wrong, it is deliberate again :bsmilie:

hmm. Bro, why a minimuim cf lens? what is your opinion on c T* lenses? I built my system with CT* and I find the planar to have a very unique signature... The main problem I find with CF lenses is that their exterior scratches very easily.

It not that T* lenses are not good, they are hassy glass after all. But I think CF carry their value better, if the gentleman wants to sell and upgrade in future. Also most C T* lenses are older then him. CF lenses been the younger sibling they might be mechanical better in the wear and tear department. As we know hassy shuttler and aperture are all in the lens. I also find the lock that hold both aperture ring and shuttler speed ring very annoying, you need to remember to push down on the aperture ring to just change aperture. It just does not work for me. But that just my two cents;)

Next HUG gathering at Shriro House is this coming Tue 10 Mar 2009, 6.30pm?

It's every first Tuesday of the month. Although on Saturday, 21st March, there's a launch of their Pro-8a AIR which they will be showcasing.

Got lobang? Beside I am ur sec sch classmate...:)

yes I agree. CF lens are surely easily to use and keep their value. Sigh, I just find it very difficult to obtain a minty CT*. The CT* lenses are VERY sexy. Retro age at its best :o

CB lenses are the least desired from what I read. any experience with them?

Well CB were design to be the cheaper version to the CFi & CFE. Thus they do not have the 'F' function for them to fit into the 200 and 2000 series to use their focal plate shuttler. But that not main reason for their undesirable status. Mainly they are not newer CFE or CFi but you have to pay premier prices to get them, where you can get a reasonable price CF that fit on any hassy cameras;)

I had the C T* lenses before too, they're good-looking retro indeed. But I changed them all to CF anyway, which like Singscott I prefer handling ... But that was not my main concern, C T* and CF have the same lens anyway. David Odess, Hasselblad repairman extraordinaire, says it all :
