[Hak] Exploring Singapore

Christmas Eve was spent at Gardens by the Bay. It was surprisingly quite empty in the Flower Dome when I went after sunset.

Happy 2016!!

I went really early to find a spot to camp for the fireworks, but decided not to position myself together with the rest of the photographers because I wanted more unique photos. I intended to include the crowd in my photos, and managed to camp at a suitable location, eventually getting the kind of shots I visualised beforehand.

Excellent. Good decision.

It's been a few weeks since I last shot landscapes, busy with other stuff. As a result, I missed many spectacular sunsets and sunrises, only able to shoot them with my phone. Today, I finally had the time to catch the sunset, and the weather seemed good enough. At 5 plus when I started driving, the light and clouds were amazing but I was a long way from my destination. When I finally arrived at Lower Peirce Reservoir, all the dark clouds have started to block the sun and I only managed to get one decent photo. Oh wells, hope for better luck next time!

The watching couple on the left, completes the picture for me. Perhaps I should be doing more of watching with wife during the moments of fireworks rather than shooting ;p
Happy New Year bro, hope to see more nice images from you.

#280-great shot!

Thanks Diego21 and trd2970! :)

This was taken at Lower Peirce Reservoir. You can click on my photos to go to my Flickr page, the exif data is there and you can see which camera/lens I was using for that particular photo.

Thanks LP and Happy New Year to you too! Or you can do both at the same time, which was what I did ;)

May I say that this is the best picture ever? Love the composition!

The most familiar Singapore skyline shot, with some trails from the boat pulling the wishing spheres.

Into the Light

I didn't have time to set up yet and the light was so good, so I rested my camera on the railing and started shooting.

Rush Hour

I thought I was going to get a clear and beautiful sunset, but suddenly the fast moving dark clouds came and covered most of the sky. A small bit of nice colours from the sunset could still be seen hiding behind the clouds.

Welcome to Singapore

This was shot last month when the Merlion was still undergoing maintenance works. Almost forgot about this shot; came across it when I was clearing photos from my hard disk.

i Light Marina Bay

I haven't really been shooting in Singapore recently, and I finally visited this light art festival on the 2nd last day of the event.
