[Hak] Exploring Singapore

I had some time to kill after sunrise, so I walked around Gardens By The Bay, and decided to check out how this spot looks like in the morning. Just nice, the morning sun was shining on just a small section of the pond, like a spotlight cast on these beautiful lotus flowers.

the inclusion of the lotus flowers makes the scene look more interesting :) flowers vs supertrees heh

Omg yes totally agree. Love the flowers as foreground info. Did you go all the way into th water to do that?

Thanks for dropping by! :) 2 of my tripod legs were in the water that's all, but I was stepping on mud.

Here's a last one from Saturday's sunrise at Gardens by the Bay.

A very challenging photo to shoot and process. The crowd kept getting into my frame, the cars weren't moving fast enough due to the jam, and the lights of the building kept changing colours so I had to time my shots properly to get the colours that I wanted. Post processing was another nightmare as I did a multi row panorama without any pano equipment, hence resulting in quite a few errors that I didn't spot immediately and had to keep going back to correct and redo.

City Dawn

My favourite location, especially in the mornings when the waters are usually much more still, giving nice and clear reflections of our beautiful city skyline.

Mirror Mirror On The Floor

Had to change my original plan to shoot elsewhere because of the rain that lasted for the whole day but it was worth it! This was pretty difficult to shoot as I had to go real low and my camera was just above the water surface. Couldn't see the camera screen clearly and my legs started to ache from squatting for too long.

Tried to wait for good weather to shoot this, but every morning these few weeks just seem to be so gloomy.

A common place to be shooting from these few days. It was super windy up there last night, but the trusty clamp does its job well enough.
