Thinking of getting a grd, so I can carry a camera with me all the time.

Quick qns:
1) Any difference in shutter lag when using manual focus in contrast to snap mode?
2) During manual focusing, does it allows focal point to be adjusted to 1.5cm? If not what is the closest you can focus to? Sorry if this sound werid but I heard from a flickr contact that the focal point of the first grd doesn't allow the dof to cover a range close enough.

Almost the same with GRD II

CP selling GR2 for 1080
GX 200 for 950 as well.

Does anyone seen any comparison sites or blog talking about the photo qualities between the 2 cameras? Thought GX 200 has equal or better tech specs than GR2 but correct me if I am wrong the GX200 uses a normal ricoh lens and GR2 uses the famous GR lens. ;p

Welcome to the world of GRs!

You can get both viewfinders at Cathay photos pen plaza. Can't remember the price thou but they do have stocks as of yesterday. They closing for renovation from 25th onwards.
The A & A cases are out of question in Singapore as they only made limited pieces back in Japan! I am looking for one too! If got lobang pls let us know! I believe many of us here are dying to get one of those as well!

just checked the viewfinder's price @ MS Colour today.

GV-1 @ $198

GV-2 @ $275 or $278 (*didn't hear properly, as was more interested in GV-1)

i'm also hunting for the A & A cases.

i'm thinking of going down to De Camera Consultant @ grandlink square to check out with singapore's A & A dealer to see if they have any cases for GR.

or any of the guys alrdy went down to check it out?

actually there is another edition of case by A & A that looks like a old school camera case, i think its a newer version then the one we all know that was made in limited numbers.

The body suit one on closeupdoesn't look too well done though. Maybe we can find a skilled leather craftsman to make one and we can MO.

pardon me but i was initially very tempted to buy the view finder one but after much tot its rather not worth the hefty pricetag because the viewfinder is not digital... so u can't see if your pic is in focus or not. but it is very cute la especially if you also attach the wide angle lens on it. hehhehee another alternative is if u have a Lomo LC-A+ too, their wide angle lens come with a view finder. it's for 20mm lens one. GRD's wide angle is 21mm so its pretty close. tats wat i am using now! but if i got spare cash will still buy the GV-1 la. haha..

but its 20mm also, and i do not have the 21mm wide angle.

was looking at the GV-1 or the Voigtlander 28mm viewfinders.

as i still prefer an optical viewfinder over the lcd back, maybe due to extensive use of slrs or dslrs.

i'm down with it if the price is right! Don't know if it's of any help, but i know there's a leathercraft shop at Heeren (pricey) and have heard of one at Army Market. Think black's the safest, red looks stunning though haha!
