Yeah, I read somewhere that all 3 models use the same battery.

For what I've found online, I know G1 & GH1 definitely can share the same battery.

Cuz my friend in Japan can get me a white one with the org panasonic half case DMW-CGB1 for $1350 including shipping. downside is i have to tahan the japanese menu but still ok cuz camera function is simple.

did your friend ship you the camera lens and body? How much is the shipping? Did the customs here asked you to pay for GST? Im looking at this option to get a White set with strap and case not available here.

well i am going to ask my friend to help me get one. gst dunno custom will charge or not but gst i can claim back cuz i have my own company in sg so just take it that i am importing this for company lor.

$1350 includes shipping is from dhl cuz shipping is about $90 so if more pple ship with me then the camera will be less than $1350 but how much less i still have to check with dhl. you interested then we can do this together.

I'll see how many people reply to me lor ... as soon as I get enough people to share costs with me then I'll do this liao.

I played with the GF1 at a BiC store when I was in Tokyo back in September... The demo model was configured with a Japanese menu, but with a few quick menu guesses, I was able to switch it to English. Are you sure you have to live with a Japanese menu??

Strange... i was in Tokyo in September also and the salesman told me that there is no english menu.... in fact, i went to a few shop and they all told me the same...hmmm..
