Just ask him if he will switch off the fridge if he leave the house:bsmilie: Explain to him how much your gear costs and the small amount is needed to maintain it. Cleaning up of fungus will cost a lot more.

yes... pls keep it on at all times..

okok...

but digital or analog??

heard that digital is better in terms that u just set it to the correct RH and that's it??

he will pay for all repairs..:D

Digital for easier and more accurate usage (higher cost)...Both digital or analog serve the same purpose.. So its all depending on your budget and preferences.

My dry cab. is a 5 watt electrical consumption. Below is the consumption calculation of electricity cost :-

1 day = 5 watt x 24 hours = 120 watt hours (WH)
1 month = 120 WH x 30 days = 3600 WH

3600 WH = 3.6 KWH ( 1 KWH = 1000 WH)

Power grid charges is est. 27 cents per KWH

3.6 KWH x 27 cents = 97 cents

So the electricity bill for the dry cab is 97 cents per month.

The above assume that the dry cab. is operating 24 hours, at time when the desire Humidity has reach
it will automatically switch-off.

You can check the data behind the dry cab. It will tell you how many watts it consume.

Edited - Digi-Cabi has digital RH controls - thanks spree86 for correcting me.

Between digital and analog RH meter, choose the analog. It does not require power. You can tell its working from a distance - just like you can tell the time from the approx position of the hands but have to read the exact numbers on a digital watch to know the time.

There's no such thing as a digital dry cabinet.

The digital/analog is the display. The rest of it are the same.

The controls are not set to achieve a RH. It's turned on a hopefully dries at a rate that brings the RH down to desired. So you'll see it varying as a function of the weather. Why? A real control will put it out of most of our pockets.

I believe he is asking about the controls. There is a digital and an analog control type dry cabinet. Digi-cabi do provide a model where you set the RH digitally instead of using the knob

Yeah and also some old money bills, leather wallets, belts, love letters. Basically anything where you think fungus will grow on them. Maybe you can put bread inside too :bsmilie:
