Gentle reminder to check prices before buying pre-owned from BnS

Yet another one just posted.

New one $280 only.

Face Palm.

One more today, $320 for it. Haha

Am I missing something?

Yashica for $450 but Rolleiflex for only $400? That Rolleikin alone worth $200.

I sold my Yashica 124G for $150 last time.

How come all mostly Nikon stuffs?

With the launch of 1DX and 5DX(??), a few trying to sell their 5D mk1 for $1500!??! The average price was $1200-1300 months ago... :dunno:

Today another offered his 1Dmk2 for $1900... when average price has been $900-1100. :dunno:

A lot of people wanna sell higher than brand new or sell old things almost same prices as brand new. Of course, they claim their things brand new also. However many times I see heavily used things listed as brand new. It makes me wonder the intention of these people.

High ball, too high.

Low ball, too low.

Sad. Nowadays I just put fair prices, can sell, sell lah, cannot sell, I continue use lah! Same with buying, I offer a fair price, willing to sell me, sell lah, not willing, then I buy brand new lah! Quite sure next year I probably will still see the same guy still stuck selling the same thing.

Ya lol. But 5D Mk II come down by quite a bit recently.

Just be very careful when buying at BNS. Often hobbyists nowadays sell old stuff at much higher prices then brand new from shop, plus they say you lowball them when you offer fair prices.

Those orange/black camera inserts from the Matin brand. I got it pre-own from a bro at $10 fair price. I got it brand new from G Market at $18. BUT on BNS now there are people selling OLD one at $25!

Another used AF-S 50mm f/1.8G going at shop price - $280...:dunno:

A Rolleicord, not Rolleiflex. But still expensive. For 400, u can easily get Rolleicord Va or Vb, the better ones in the last stages of the Rolleicords. The Rolleikin cost more than 100 for all parts, most sets missing some items, but wont cost as much as 200.

Sandisk deals from March IT Fair still on with the shops it seems.

8GB CF 30mbps Ultra (previously known as Extreme III), $36
16GB CF 30mbps Ultra (previously known as Extreme III), $63

On BNS people selling old cards more expensive than brand new. I think they donno, if you also donno, then hope you read this thread...

Hi. I'm new. Joining into the communication. I think, many bought their equipment quite some time back at high price. When try to sell, they probably worked their calculation on the equipment depreciation value based on the price they paid. If the calculated value is higher than the current price for a brand new, they just try posting a figure somewhere close to current price. Their intention to recoup as much as possible. So if buyer fail to do homework, then too bad for them.
