this 11-16 toki, i had before... can't use on my ELP, and my R72... big hotspot! and bro lowlights, i was talking to bro fatigue just earlier this evening, he told me the guys from china sent him the wrong filter... it's 610nm instead of 600nm.

Actually looking at the link you provided reminds me why I drop the 12-24 idea .. when compared to the 11-16 .. the 11-16 is sharper ..damn back to square one .. :dunno:

Hope you didn't wasted $. Actually on the safe side, can just loan the Toki 11-16 and Nikon 12-24 from any camera rental shops to be tested.

Whether these 2 lenses will give hot-spots or not, depends on how we use it and what modified DSLR we are using with it...

As for me, I really like the Toki 11-16 for its sharpness, even if it gives hot-spot i will still use it on my D300 for normal photog.

I will look for my usual supplier and borrow it for some test shots..hopefully it sufficient to tell

I also will use this with the D3 .. At 11 vignette like mad .. At 15 (i think.. Can't remenber now) vignetting gone .. But penalize but drop in megapixel .. But if it works out .. It should be stuck to the IR cam

I read up that Toki 11-16 can be used on FX at the lens focal length of 15~16mm ONLY.
